Q - Are all goods sold guaranteed?
A - Yes, however timber is a natural product, subject to changes caused by environmental conditions.
Q - Is your timber supplied treated?
A - Most buildings are supplied untreated, we offer an additional service for treatment or painting.
Q - Do I need planning permission?
A - Not up to a height of 2 metres.
Q - Can I have any building made to size?
A - Yes, including various door and window positionings.
Q - Do you put shelves in the buildings?
A - Yes if required.
Q - Can you dismantle and remove my existing building?
A - Yes if required.
Q - What access do you require for delivery of my building?
A - Side access is preferred with no restrictions for the length and height of the building.
Q - What if i can't provide access for delivery of my building?
A - All buildings can be sectioned into smaller pieces.
Q - Can my building be insulated?
A - Yes with rockwool insulation covered with ply board.
Q - Can electricity be run into my building?
A - This is normally a straightforward task but for safety reasons we recommend that you consult a qualified electrician.
Q - How often should I paint or treat my building?
A - Once installed and then at least every 2 years to prolong life.
Q - What kind of foundation do I need under my building?
A - Buildings should be assembled on a square and level surface, a concrete slab or wood deck floor is recommended.
Q - Should I anchor my building?
A - This is not normally needed for larger, heavier buildings and would depend on location and exposure.
Q - What tools do I need to erect a building myself?
A - Work gloves, stanley knife, saw, claw hammer, spirit level and a stepladder.
Q - Is your timber supplied treated?
A - All fencing is suppled pressure treated expect PAR timber which will need treating.
Q - What is pressure treatment?
A - It is a lifetime preservative treatment which is pressure forced into the timber to penetrate below the surface.
Q - Can I paint the timber if it has been pressure treated?
A - Yes, although no further treatment is ever needed it can be covered with normal wood preservative in any colour.
Q - How high can I have a fence in my back garden?
A - Up to a height of 2 metres without permission.
Q - Can I have fencing made to size?
A - Yes, we offer numerous types of fencing which can be made to size.
Q - Can you dismantle and remove my existing fence?
A - Yes if required.
Q - How deep should I bury fence posts?
A - A minimum of 2 feet deep.
Q - Should all fence posts be set into concrete?
A - Posts that are not set in concrete will eventually lean due to wind and weather.
Q - How often should I paint or treat my fence?
A - At least every 2 years to prolong life.
Q - How do I install a fence panel on a sloped landscape?
A - Pre-assembled fence panels can be installed on a slope using the stair-step method by stepping up the landscape.
Q - What tools do I need to erect a fence myself?
A - Work gloves, grafter shovel, post hole digger, saw, and a claw hammer.
Q - What is the difference between Softwood and Hardwood?
A - Hardwoods are generally far more resistant to decay than softwoods when used for exterior work.
Q - How do I know which size brackets I should hang my gate with?
A - The brackets should be approx. 50% of the width of the gate.
Q - How many brackets do i need to hang a gate?
A - A bracket should be placed approx. 2 feet apart.
Q - How deep should I bury gate posts?
A - A minimum of 2 feet deep for small gates and 3.5 feet for large gates.
Q - Should all gate posts be set into concrete?
A - Posts that are not set in concrete will eventually lean due to wind and weather.
Q - How often should I paint or treat my gate?
A - At least every 2 years to prolong life.
Q - What tools do I need to install a gate myself?
A - Work gloves, grafter shovel and a screwdriver.
Q - Is your furniture supplied treated?
A - All furniture is supplied pre-treated.
Q - Is your furniture supplied assembled?
A - All furniture is supplied flat pack.
Q - Can I have any furniture made to any specification?
A - No, unfortunately this is a service we can not offer.
Q - How often should I treat my furniture?
A - At least every 2 years to prolong life.
Q - Should i treat stainless steel furniture?
A - Over time the steel will discolour but treatment will both clean and restore to a new look.
Q - Should i treat woven and textilene furniture?
A - Over time the material will discolour but treatment will both clean and restore to a new look.
Q - My furniture has developed a weathered silver look?
A - Over time most woods will devolope this look but treatment will return the wood to its original colour.
Q - Do i need to bring the furniture in for the winter?
A - All furniture, providing it is treated within the specified periods will withstand the cold weather.
Q - What tools do I need to assemble your furniture?
A - Work gloves, stanley knife, saw, claw hammer, spirit level and a stepladder.
Q - Are all light fittings guaranteed?
A - All lighting products except lamps have a 12 month guarantee against faults.
Q - Do you over an installation service for lighting?
A - No, all installations should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Q - What does low voltage mean?
A - Low voltage means a transformer converts the normal 240V circuit to 12V.

Q - Are all fittings supplied with the lamps?
A - Only where specified as in some cases there is a choice of lamps available.
